Real name Ian Hicks,
Hixxy was originally into Hip Hop and Rap music before discovering
the hardcore scene when it took off in England. Early
on, Hixxy used to hang around with Ramos and Supreme and gained
a lot of experience from this. Hixxy began DJ'ing in 91 but
it wasn't until he met DJ Dougal that things really began to
take off. Together with Dougal, Hixxy started a new label called
"Essential Platinum" which was geared towards happy hardcore.
It was the first release on this label that pushed Hixxy to
instant success and fame. Along with MC Sharkey, Hixxy produced
a track called "Toy Town" which was an instant anthem that was
played out by every happy hardcore DJ on the circuit.
From there, Hixxy has managed to gain bookings at all the top
raves, including Dreamscape, Helter Skelter etc. Hixxy is still
producing many tunes for Essential Platinum and the label is
possibly the strongest label on the happy hardcore circuit.

Brisk
Real name Paul, Brisk started DJ'ing at "The Escape Club" in
Southampton and from there, he also obtained bookings for "The
Basement" in Southampton, "Brainstorm" in Salisbury and "Remix"
in Bournemouth. Evenutally, Brisk managed to get a booking for
Club Kinetic in Stoke and remained a resident from that day
on. Having established himself at Club Kinetic, it was only
a matter of time before other organisations heard his ability
and it wasn't long before Brisk received bookings for all the
major parties like Helter Skelter, United Dance etc. Brisk also
produces many happy hardcore tunes and his first release
was "Man From Uncle". Brisk has now remixed several top tunes
including "Now Is The Time" by Scott Brown and "Harmony" by
Force + Styles. Brisk eventually decided to set up his own label
with DJ Ham called "Next Generation" and many of the releases
so far have been of anthem status including the classic "Cloudy
Daze" by Bang. Brisk is still putting out top tunes on Next
Generation and likes to make tracks with Vinylgroover quite
often. Again, Brisks faultless mixing style will ensure that
he will remain at the top of the happy hardcore circuit
for a long time. top
Clarkee
Clarkee
started giong out to many illegal raves when he was young. Being
inspired by the parties, Clarkee bought his own decks and practiced
as much as he could. Eventually, Clarkee was booked to play
at "Milwaukees" and pretty soon became a regular DJ there. Clarkee
did used to play breakbeat hardcore around 91 and 92
but eventually decided to stick with the hard techno sound which
he is now well known for. In 1992, Clarkee released a tune called
"I Get Hype" which was quite a classic tune in its day and obviously
got Clarkee some further recognition. Today, Clarkee still plays
to the masses at all the top techno partys including Dreamscape,
Helter Skelter etc. Clarkee also drops an old skool set from
time to time. top
